Students' Union

Membership

All students of St. Joseph's College are members of the Students' Union. All members have the privilege of participating in all activities organized by the Students' Union.

Organizations under Students' Union

In order to encounter the heavy bulk of responsibilities, 6 subsidiary boards are set up. They includes the Prefects' Board, the Student Welfare Council, the Cub Co-ordination Board, the Public Relation & Promotion, Financial & Marketing Board and the Junior Board. They work closely under the supervision of the President and other Executive Committee Members, so as to achieve a higher productivity and increasing its flexibility.

a) Prefects' Board

The primary duty of the Board is to maintain order and discipline in the school. It consists of prefects from all classes led by the Head Prefect. The Board is aided and supervised by the Principal and the Discipline Master.

The board aims at:

• maintaining good co-ordination between all clubs;
• giving advice on both internal and external activities;
• eliminating conflicts between various clubs;
• eflecting the opinions of the clubs to the School.

This board aims to provide opportunities for younger students to understand the work of the Students' Union so that they will be able to perform better duties when they are in the senior forms. Members of the Junior Committee Board are responsible for assisting the Students' Union to organize various functions. They should set a good example to all Josephians by their good conduct.
