Improvements were made all through the years.
The School-based Management Committee, with members from the
school authorities, representatives from teachers, alumni
members and parents, was formed in accordance to the Quality
Assurance Scheme. It serves to shape the development of the
school with integrated response and planning from school authorities,
teachers, parents and alumni.
The College realized the need of effective
communication skills and emphasized on fostering students
with bi-literacy and tri-lingualism. The College had created
a language rich environment in all Chinese, English and Putonghua
for students. Summer Immersion Programme, with emersion camps
to England and Beijing m every summer, was implemented. The
College's active participation in the Annual Hong Kong Schools
Speech Festival also fostered the linguistic ability of her
students. Her effort was well recognized by the numerous champions
captured in the Annual Schools Speech Festival year after
year. Moreover, the Chinese Debate Team triumphed over 60
schools and captured the Champion at the Fifteenth Inter-School
Debating Competition in 2000. Once more, the College's effort
was lauded by the Hon. Chief Executive of the HKSAR, Mr. Tung
Chee-hwa, He appreciated the fiuency in Putonghua from one
of the form one students on the 125" Anniversary Millennium
Grand Open Day.

In the era of information technology,
the College had prepared students for the advancement
by integrating information technology to everyday's teaching.
A special IT room and IT training courses were introduced
to the teaching staff to keep them update with the innovations
in IT teaching. Install ation of LAN networks would further
enhance the integration of information technology to every
student's learning.

After years of growth, St. Joseph's College
now provides education for about 4200 students in the Kindergarten,
Primary and College. Other changes include the introduction
of Putonghua classes and the reopening of French classes m
addition to the required Chinese and English language classes
The campus is also heavily renovated to accommodate the need
for computers and network servers in the advent of the Information
Age. The school continues to produce highly competitive and
versatile students who play prominent roles in society for
both here in Hong Kong and abroad.
