A penny saved is a penny earned

Steven Chan Kwun Shing

"A penny saved is a penny earned" I don't want my money to be wasted, instead I want the money to be spent in St. Joseph's College in a useful way.

As an old boy of St. Joseph's College, I know that having examinations in the halls is just like going into a microwave oven. Sweat is coming out of every inch of your skin, it is hard to concentrate and tough to write. So the first thing I want the money to spend on is to add air- conditioners in the halls. I would like to use one hundred and fifty thousand dollars to add ten air -conditioners in the New Hall and seventy five thousand dollars to add five air conditioners in the "old Gall" I hope this can bring a better condition to the Josephians when they have exams.

" Home sweet home " St. Joseph's College is the second home to all Josephians, so I decided to make them fell more like to home. Being a student in St Joseph's College in the past, I understand that many Josephians like sleeping and talking during lessons. But this is not healthy, so I want my money to be used to buy some beds and sofa. Next year, these beds and soda would be put in form 2F classrooms. Therefore no more Josephians would sleep and talk during lessons, they would have a nice new room for them to sleep and chat in recesses and lunch time. I think these changes would cost about one hundred thousand dollars.

I believe every one needs to go to toilet. But what will the person feel when he goes to a stinky, dirty washroom? I don't want Josephians to have nightmares after going to washrooms. So another one hundred thousand dollars would be used to refresh all washrooms in St. Joseph's College.

I would like to leave the rest of the money to St. Joseph's College to decide what to do. I hope they can make good use of it. After all the changes I have made, I hope St. Joseph's College would be a better school and every Josephians would love it and protect it.
