What
was happening? Was it a function show in Milan or Paris?
All the Josephians were dressed in casual wears! Where
were the school uniforms? It was only , definitely not
a holiday. But why? Was it a dream? No. It was the annual
Community Chest Dress Casual Day. This meaningful event
was coordinated by the Social Service Group and the Student
Union.
Our school was turned into a big fashion mall with all
the latest fashion. Students were wearing their favourite
trendy clothes ranging from the most chic fashion designer
wears to T-shirts and jeans. There was an eclectic mix
of clothes, both colourful and striking. Although students
were allowed to wear most of their favourites, several
types of clothes were not recommended, for instance, head
wears, shorts, vests and scandals.
Many Josephians discovered that the school was filled
with a light-hearted, relaxing mood, which was totally
different from the formal, serious atmosphere of the normal
school days.
Students were advised to donate $20 to help the poor and
the needy. The Comminuty Chest would use these donations
to help over 140 social welfare agencies to provide different
kinds of services. Students were also given a pizza hut
and U2 discount coupon. With the magnificent support from
the teachers and Josephians, we had raised over twenty
thousand dollars for the Community Chest.
Finally we would like to express out sincere gratitude
for the generous support from all the teachers and Josephians.
