The
Athletic Meet is special and meaningful to us. It encourages
us not to forget to keep a healthy and fit body. If you
are sick, you cannot study well, can't you?
Athletics were well prepared
indeed. They had been waiting to show and demonstrate
their skill. They were all in high spirits and all of
them had a strong will to capture the championship. This
cannot be learned through textbooks, but learned through
this annual Athletic Meet. This day provides a good chance
for us to show our talent on sports and Josephians' spirit.
Sportsmanship not only can help you in sports events,
but also helps you in all means in your entire life.
Athletics tried their best
in the field while spectators shouted to show support
to them on the stand. Not only the champions, but those
who lagged behind also tried all of their might and strength
to finish the races or events.
The most exciting event of the Sports Day, of course,
is the staff 4*100 relay event. Mr. D Chiu ran really
fast. Our female teachers tried their best as well. All
of our spectators stood up to watch this wonderful race.
Some of the students even shouted their favourite teachers'
name. The outer part of the stand was crowded with students
who were trying to get a better and closer view.
The second one, no doubt, is the inter-class 4*100m relay.
Students cheered for their own class team. In return,
athletics tried to help their class win the overall champion.
The whole Sports ground was full of joyous cries.
Before the Athletic Meet
ended, the Prize giving ceremony took place. The winners
all walked to the stage with full confidence and joy.
They were finally rewarded for their practices and training.
Students who lost should not give up. If you try hard
in the future, you can win next time.
There was a new event this
year. All of the Form 7 students and some of the teachers
walked
along the track once. They were holding some banners that
were written with St. Joseph's College and Athletic Meet
on them. They will leave the school next year and they
may miss us. When the school rally was played through
the amplifier, all of us could feel the sense of belonging.
This was the Josephians spirit and it will last forever.
